Emergency Seal for Hazardous Material Container, ø 170-230 mm, screw-on handle, PE

This cone-shaped emergency seal for hazardous material containers, made of robust polyethylene, allows the temporary repair of leaks. The plug has a diameter of 170 to 230 mm and a height of 160 mm.

When a leak occurs in a hazardous material container, the cone-shaped plug quickly provides a temporary seal. It is equipped with a screw-on handle for easy attachment to the container.

Once fitted, the emergency seal is also resistant to aggressive media such as formaldehyde, hydrofluoric acid, petrol or kerosene, hexane, methanol and glycol propylene. However, shrinkage must be expected on contact with sulphuric acid. Similarly, care must be taken when in contact with phenol if temperatures exceed +50 °C.

Emergency sealing for hazardous material containers is an important part of a well-stocked emergency kit. During a three-day test, their durability was carefully tested.
