Pallet racks
Pallet racks
Pallet racks are stable racking systems for heavy loads stored on pallets. They are the optimal solution for orderly and adaptable storage of goods and materials in industry, production and warehouse operations. Due to their open structure and load capacity, pallet racks are the perfect way to achieve the maximum storage capacity even in the smallest space and to find individual solutions. In our online shop you can put together the right shelving system with the appropriate cross beam levels.
What are pallet racks?
Pallet racks are open racks with compartments adapted to the dimensions of pallets. They consist of a stable frame, which is connected to each other by so-called longitudinal cross beams. The pallets to be stored are placed on the longitudinal beams. Cross beams connect the sides of the frame and carry the loads of the pallets. The heavy-duty racks can also be supplemented with shelves such as chipboard or a grid. This allows boxes and other containers to be stored in addition to pallets.
Safe storage with robust pallet racks
Some safety criteria for pallet racks should be observed in order to avoid accidents and to be able to guarantee your employees sufficient safety at the workplace. For example, the floor should not have any unevenness and must be designed for the high load capacity. In addition, the maximum load capacity of the shelf and bay load should not be exceeded. Nevertheless, most shelving compartments can hold several pallets without any problems.
Individual use
Many pallet racks can be supplemented as required with a protective device such as a mesh back panel to prevent goods from falling out. Without a back wall, however, the pallet racking can also be used on both sides. In most cases, the racks are connected by sturdy screws or welded seams. The construction takes into account the conditions in practice and is therefore particularly resilient. The size of the compartments and the number of levels can be individually adjusted according to your needs.
Pallet racking made to measure
A pallet rack usually consists of a basic and an add-on bay. A basic bay consists of the rack sides, which form the frame, and cross beams and longitudinal beams. Add-on bays offer the possibility to extend the basic bay and can also be combined with each other. Modular solutions allow you to customise your pallet racking - for example by adding suitable extensions or to add closed shelves if cartons or similar storage containers are used.
Individual pallet racking for your needs
In our online shop, you can buy pallet racking that is customised and made to measure. The high-quality Schäfer Shop shelving systems are extremely resilient and are connected to each other by a stable screw connection, so they can withstand heavy loads without any problems. You can also adjust the number of shelves and crossbar levels to suit your needs. To assemble the shelves, you will also find the matching accessories in our range.
