An insert box is usually made of robust steel or hard-wearing plastics such as polypropylene or polystyrene. These boxes often come in different sizes and shapes. This allows you to make optimum use of the space available, for example in a drawer, without wasting space.

Insert boxes are also available in a wide range of colours such as blue, red or yellow. This makes it easy to put together and structure an individual filing system. For example, a red insert box stands for a certain type of screw, while a blue box contains the matching nuts.
