There are two printing methods for putting the desired words on paper. The direct thermal method works with heat-sensitive paper on which the desired areas are simply heated up, causing the paper to turn black in these areas due to embedded ink capsules. This process is easy to use and inexpensive, but unfortunately these prints are sensitive - even UV light can cause deterioration of the printed image. The thermal transfer process requires an ink ribbon - this is melted by a print head at the required points. Then the melted wax is pressed onto the paper - this method can be used with almost all materials. This thermal printing method is very insensitive but has a higher cost as ribbons and paper are needed for printing.
