That's why experts see canopies as the easiest way to optimise acoustics and visually brighten up a room at the same time.

Reverberation time It indicates how long a sound event takes to become inaudible. The shorter the reverberation, the better the speech intelligibility. Closed rooms should have a reverberation time between 0.4 sec. and 1.0 sec. Today, open-plan offices are planned according to DIN EN ISO 3382-3. The main criterion here is not the reverberation time, but speech intelligibility.
From room volume to room use to room acoustics. Depending on the room use, a given room volume results in a reverberation time T in seconds according to DIN 18041. For example, a 180 sqm conference room should have a reverberation time T = 0.55 seconds.
